The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD proposes to procure on a firm-fixed-price basis: two (2) SATCOM modems (model 958X-1, part number 622-6780-003); three (3) GPS MAGRs (model R2512/U, part number 822-0208-001); three (3) GPS mounts (model MT-6857/U, part number 822-0266-001); one (1) LF-ADF receiver (part number 622-2362-001); one (1) DDU mount (model 992J2, part number 622-5410-001); two (2) HSD controllers (model 614E-55D, part number 622-8317-001); one (1) R/T mount (model number MT-4710, part number 622-1581-001) and one (1) modem mount (model 994B-1, part number 622-6903-003). All components are manufactured by Collins Avionics & Communications Division (CACD) of Rockwell International Corp. and reference CACD model and part numbers. This complement of equipment will be used to stage an avionics repair test bench facility which must consist of identical equipment utilized in Executive Trasport Helicopter aircraft. As such, the Government intends to negotiate this acquisition on a sole source basis with Collins Avionics & Communications Division; Rockwell International Corporation, 350 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one reponsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements).
