Work involves asbestos and lead-based paint abatement and replacement with new materials in various facilities within the jurisdiction of the North Texas and Eastern Area Offices. This work involves but is not limited to abatement of various facilities and utilities through North Texas, Northeast Texas, and Northern and Western parts of Louisiana. Estimated Cost Range is a minimum of $30,000.00 per year to a maximum of $5,000,000.00 per year. Specifications can be purchased at the rate of $10.00 per copy, no drawings are required. Requests must include payment by company check or money order made payable to: F&A Officer, USAED, FTW and sent to: USACE, Attn: Room 13A32, P.O. Box 17300, 819 Taylor Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102-0300. No refund will be made and material need not be returned. If project is cancelled or no award is made, cost of plans and specifications will be refunded only on written request. Solicitation to be issued on or about 19 May 1995. Bid Opening 19 June 1995. Duration of contract period is 360 days with one option year. If a large business firm is selected for this announcement it must comply with FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the work it intends to subcontract. The Fort Worth District goal of the total dollars to be subcontracted is for 60% to go to Small Business; of the 60% goal, 9.8% should go to Small Disdavantaged Business and 2.9% should go to Woman Owned Small Business. The plan is not required as part of this submittal. The plan will be due five days after written notification to the firm by the Contracting Officer.
