Eglin AFB base has a requirement to Replace Warehouse Doors, Building 1755, Eglin AFB FL. Bid opening date of 28 Jun 95 is only an estimated date. In general, work consists of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment required to replace high impact warehouse swing doors at the Commissary, Building 1755. The work required to be performed by the contractor consists of, but not limited to, the following items: (a) Remove existing high impact swinging doors, (b) Install new high impact swinging doors. The installation of the high impact doors, in general, shall consists of: providing all interior doors to storage areas as indicated on the door schedule. Do not use raised thresholds. Provide for high use, heavy traffic applications for all doors. Remove old doors and legally dispose of off Eglin Reservation. Double Action Impact Doors: Provide double action, heavy duty door systems in sizes indicated on the door schedule. Doors shall have tubular steel frames with foam cores and pvc alloy cover panels. Provide 18 inch high jamb guards, windows, bumper strips, post plates and center impact plates with 24 inch high spring bumpers. Doors shall be partially gasketed with deep seat cam action closures for closure due to negative pressure. Estimated dollar range is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small or small disadvantaged business. Solicitation packages are available at a $20.00 charge. All requests must be submitted in writing.
