COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 26,1995 PSA#133389 Contracting Squadron, 1419 Menoher Drive, Andrews AFB, MD
20331-6500 J -- SECURITY ALARM SYSTEMS, This is a Sources Sought Synopsis to
determine if there are any private sector offerors interested and
capable of providing maintenance, repair, training of existing ADT
Security Systems also furnishing and installations of new compatible
security alarm systems as required for various facilities on Andrews
AFB. The contractor provides all personnel, equipment, tools,
materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to
protect weapons and munitions areas, vaults, ATM's cash offices and
sensitive, crypto, and classified areas. Required technical services
consist of the following areas: A. Maintenance, repairs of existing ADT
security alarm systems and any new installation of alarms to include
but not limited to motion detectors, PIR's duress', BMS', BA traps,
vibration detectors, glass breakage detectors, heat sensors, wire
lacing moisture and high water detectors, card readers, pressure
sensitive devices, surveillance cameras and control units. B. Provide
technical and operational support with on-site contract personnel
responsible for maintenance and operational procedures to include
training of AF personnel for Sentra-Scan computerized central
monitoring stations and STUS's. C. Installation of new alarms must be
compatible with existing ADT Sentra-Scan 6000 System. D. Cable pairs
for each alarm system must be identified as directed by the AF
communications Group and be multiplexed at Building 1539. To be
considered capable, interested parties must demonstrate the following:
A. Complete knowledge of security alarm systems and peculiarities and
ability to respond promptly to questions pertaining to the system. B.
Past Performance as pertains to relevant experiences in all the above
general areas. C. Corporate capabilities in the areas of alarm
systems, software engineering, manufactures, support and field service
support. D. How proprietary, compatibility to existing equipment, and
antiquated issues will be addressed. E. Provides 24 hour a day, seven
days a week, 365 days a year unscheduled coverage in addition to a
preventative maintenance schedule. E. The ability to be fully
functional upon award. This information must be provided to the 89
