NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center intends to issue RFQ5-19050/980, on a sole source basis to Lightwave Electronics, 1161 San Antonio Road, Mountain View, CA 94043, for the acquisition of Dual Wavelength Single Frequency cs Nd-YAG Laser. Lightwave Electronics was chosen for this requirement for their unique capabilities. Lightwave is the only company that can provide a seed laser with ouput in the green, with sufficient power to seed a Nd-YAG laser and of a size to fit into the limited space available within the existing Nd-YAG laser. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a technical narrative statement of their capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature, demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements within 15 days of the publication of this notice to the above address. The response shall be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish bona fide capability to meet these requirements. This procurement is conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. This procurement is reserved for small businesses. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3674, with a small business size classification of 500.
