INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM POC Sandra Harrelson, Contracting Officer,
202/267-3669 The FAA intends to contract with Wilcox Electric, Inc.,
Kansas City MO, on a sole source basis under the authority of 49 U.S.C.
40110(b)(2)(E) for product improvements to the Wilcox Mark 20 category
II/III instrument landing system. Work will include modification of
the Mark 20 ILS to accommodate improvements in maintenance,
communications, installation and interface functions and modifications
to allow operation under various site restrictions, including
development of a narrow beamwidth localizer antenna and interfaces with
multiple existing antenna configurations such as logarithmic periodic
dipole localizer antenna arrays, null reference, sideband reference and
endfire glideslope antennas. Interfaces will include hardware and
software changes. Work will also include upgrading of associated
engineering and provisioning documentation and procurement of parts
peculiar associated with changes. Modifications will be incorporated in
Mark 20 systems concurrent with the on-going production run. A
