The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for a Computer Controlled Cone and Plate Rheometer. This instrument shall be used to measure the yield value and viscosity profile of inks used in printing US currency, in the BEP's Fort Worth, Texas facility. The Rheometer shall include a measuring system capable of both steady and linearly increasing shear rate as well as a temperature control system. The Rheometer shall be able to be controlled by and record information on a computer system. The most recent synopsis for this requirement was on November 16, 1994. All interested firms must submit a written request for RFP No. BEP-95-09(N). Those firms which responded to any previous announcements are encouraged to resubmit a written request. Requests must be submitted in writing. No telephone requests will be accepted. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3829.
