The Department of Defense, Television-Audio Support Activity, (T- ASA), is seeking to identify sources of supply that can provide non-developmental item (NDI) off-the-shelf High Resolution Airborne Video Recorder/Reproducers with the following minimum specifications and capabilities: Recorder/Reproducer, video, S- VHS cassette; airborne; capable of: NTSC/EIA standard; record video camera, infrared sensor and multi-function displays; high speed search; visual event marker; built-in test (BIT); electronic frame indexing (VISS); serial/parallel interface; horizontal resolution: more than 400 lines (S-VHS), 240 lines (VHS); audio record: helical scan FM, deep layer record, 80-20Khz response; video level: 1 VBS (composite) and Y (VS) 0.5-2.0 Vpp, 75 ohm balanced; tape speed: 1.315in/sec (33.4 mm/sec); power requirements: 28VDC, less than 33 watts.
