The structural repairs include repairing concrete cracks and spalls as well as installation, repair and replacement of pier structural and non-structural elements, and the application of concrete surface coatings, and incidental related work. Mechanical repairs include the replacement of fuel piping, valves, and appurtances, the installation of a pier stormwater drainage system, utility repairs and incidental related work. Electrical repairs include the replacement of the complete pier electrical system, and incidental related work. The fender system replacement includes the demolition of a portion of the existing timber fender system and provision of pile supported fender panels, fenders, and incidental related work. The work involves the demolition of asbestos containing material, and removal and disposal of lead based paint. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
