K -- MODIFICATION OF EQUIPMENT SOL RFP-6731 POC Eileen P. Coyne, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-2283. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has a requirement for an indefinite quality of Motorola R-2670 Communication Analyzers; Motorola RLN-4495A SECURENET option; Motorola RLN #502A 5 year Service Warranty; RTK-4012A key variable load caple; 15-80388 BO6 transit case; manufactured by Motorola Inc. Landover, MD. or equal. This equipment shall be 100% electronically and mechanically compatible with equipment currectly on FBI inventory. The equipment shall meet the following Salient Characteristics. 1. Shall have SECUREMENET (DES) compatible modulation and demodulation with vocoding capability. 2. Shall be capable of modulating the generator with a BER test pattern. 3. Shall be capable of graphically displaying the audio baseband signal at both the input and output of the vocoder. 4. Shall have a generator and receiver frequency range of at least 500 Khz to 1 Ghz with 100 Hz of resolution. 5. Shall have a spectrum analyzer with the minimum of 200 Khz dispersion with a frequency range of 500 Khz to 1 Ghz. 6. Shall an integral terminated wattmeter capable of measuring .5 watts to 125 watts for up to one minute. 7. Shall have a 50 Mhz tracking generator with a frequency range of 500 Khz to 1. Ghz. 8. While in the spectrum analyzer mode, the received signal shall be demolulated with an output to an internal speaker. 9. Shall have an oscilloscope with at least 50 Khz of frequency response. 10. Shall have a SINAD/distortion meter. 11. Shall have a relative signal strength meter with a digital readout. 12. Shall have a frequency counter. 13. Shall accept both AC and DC power inputs. 14. Shall be capable of operating from an integral battery for at least 30 minutes. 15. Shall have an optional extended warranty to cover calibration and repairs for five years. 16. Shall have a programmable memory with at sufficient memory to support 20 preset selections. 17. Shall have a duplexer with output levels from - 130 dbm to 0 dbm. The FBI, anticipates a firm Fixed Price, indefinite quantity type contract. Requests for Proposal (RFP-6731) will be released on Approximately February 6, 1995. Requests for the proposal shall be in writing, to the attention of the Contract Specialist listed above referencing RFP-6731, and be postmarked no later than 15 days from date of publication in the CBD.
