Notice of intent to place an order against GSA non-mandatory schedule contract #GS00K94AGS5002 with Data General of Irvine, CA, for software services for system upgrades for the AFFTC Airborne Test Instrumentation Systems (ATIS) Airborne and Ground Support Units (AGSU). Services will include providing a subset of the existing Test instrument Management System (TIMS) functionality coupled with added functions to support the Advanced Range Instrumentation (ARIA) aircraft. Services will include the basic design, architecture, software, and documentation to progress through the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) phase under the Mil Std 2167A process. All delivered software and documentation must be compatible with and integrated into the existing TIMS application. Any other soucres desiring consideration are required to provide the follwoing information within 15 days of the date of publication of this synopsis: (1) GSA contract number, if applicable, (2) documentation/technical specifications, (3) Delivery schedule, and (4) Prices. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis of intent will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request of copy of the solicitation. If after analyzing responses to this notice, the Contracting Officer elects to place an order against the synopsized GSA schedule contract or a responding contractor's GSA schedule contract, written notification of the award will be provided to all parties responding in writing to this notice.
