This modifies the original synopsis as follows: delete the second sentence that reads ''The application requires expansion and modularity to accommodate changing communications test equipment on a regular basis.'' Replace with ''The DCSS will be used in an airborne environment and therefore must meet the provisions of DO-160 (current revision). Waivers to the DO-160 loss of cooling requirement will be considered. The components, with the exception of the LCD display, shall be in ATR sized chassis. The DCSS must meet NSA standards for TEMPEST, and RED/BLACK separation. The DCSS must also meet EMI/EMC requirements of NACSEM 5100A. The DCSS application requires expansion and modularity to accommodate changing communications equipment and must support reconfiguration of communication connectivities on the fly.''
