- Description
- This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (NIH-CC) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with the following vendor: GraphPad Software, LLC. Acquistion Description: GraphPad Prism is a powerful software package widely used in scientific research, particularly in the fields of biostatistics, pharmacology, and life sciences. GraphPad Prism has user friendly interface and is available for both Windows PC and MAC IOS. Prism offers an intuitive interface that makes it accessible for users with varying levels of statistical expertise. It streamlines the data analysis process, allowing researchers to focus on their findings rather than struggling with complex software. Prism is a comprehensive statistical analysis package which is easy to learn and offers suggestions on how to process data from basic descriptive statistics to advanced modeling techniques. This flexibility allows researchers to perform the necessary analyses for their specific data sets, ensuring robust and accurate results. The software package can produce user customizable high-quality graphs and charts. It provides customizable templates that enhance data visualization, making it easier to interpret results and present findings in publications, presentations, or reports. Prism also allows for efficient data organization and management. Users can easily enter, manipulate, and analyze their data within a single platform, reducing the risk of errors that may occur when transferring data between different programs. Prism promotes the entry of documentation for the experimental results and promotes reproducibility in research by allowing users the ability to demonstrate step by step methods used to analyze data which is crucial for validating results and ensuring that other researchers can replicate studies. Prism comes with extensive documentation and support along with robust help page which can be used by both novice and expert performing statistical analysis of their data. It can also be integrated with other statistical software and tools, allowing for seamless workflow and data exchange. This is particularly beneficial for researchers who may need to use multiple programs for different aspects of their work. Prism files and graphs can be uploaded int LabArchive (electronic lab notebook software) which is required to be used by NIH investigators. In summary, GraphPad Prism is a versatile and reliable tool that enhances the efficiency and quality of data analysis in scientific research across various disciplines. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements.
