Description
SAPR Full time and collateral duty staff require continuing education unit (CEU) credits to maintain their credentials to perform victim advocacy. Lesson CEU Suitability: All final training products, plans, and materials will be approved by the PA NG Principal SARC. All topics must be approved by NOVA (National Organization for Victim Advocacy) for CEU acceptability prior to being instructed. A completed agenda by training lesson must be as complete and accurate as possible. Changes and replacement of some or whole topics not approved by NOVA will not be instructed until approved by NOVA. A portion of these credits must be in person, or online, and can be from outside agencies if it is approved to be accepted for CEU credit. Training will be conducted virtually or in person and may have up to 100 attendees. Attendees will be a mix of full time civilian, full time National Guard, and part time National Guard Soldiers that are already credentialed for SAPR victim advocacy that require CEUs for recredentialing. The contractor shall furnish all trainers, presentation materials such as any PowerPoint slides, videos, scenarios, and any necessary companion materials such as worksheets and workbooks to be kept by the attendees. Each hour of interactive training equates to 1 CEU. The training must cover topics that are related and relevant to the upskilling or broadening of victim advocacy skills. Examples of such topic areas include, but are not limited to victim advocacy techniques, victim advocacy ethics, rapport building, crisis intervention, safety assessments, trauma informed care, recovery-oriented advocacy, vicarious trauma prevention, self-care. An agenda showing the presenter, topics, and amount of time spent on each topic will be required. A certificate of completion will be provided to each attendee that successfully completed the training that lists completion date, location, number of CEUs earned, and signature of the trainer or coordinator.
