- This Solicitation is a BRAND NAME or EQUAL REQUIREMENT for INSULATION PIPE COVERING & SHEET for KFLEX This requirement is SET ASIDE FOR TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS in accordance with FAR 19.5 for pipe coverings, sheet, and insulation for K-FLEX LLC. The destination is Sasebo, Japan. ***NO PARTS WILL SHIP TO BREMERTON, WASHINGTON***. If your business entity is submitting a quote, please specify the following: -The Manufacturer -The country of origin (COO) -After Receipt of Order (ARO), also known as the estimated time or arrival -Confirm that the part will ship to Sasebo and not Bremerton, Washington. NAVSUP WSS Transportation will work with the contractor to coordinate shipping. -Provide all pertinent specifications or equal to specifications if applicable. NAVSUP WSS Transportation is at no cost to the Contractor and is mandatory according to the solicitation. However, if additional fees such as tariffs, duties, taxes, and customs apply, please include in the line item(s) of the requirement. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from the SAM.gov website and for frequently monitoring the site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of offerors to access the posted documents. This solicitation will close on 03 March 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time ALL material must comply with EB4013 or MIL-PRF-32514, NAVSEA Standard Item Number 009-11. Conforming to MIL-PRF-32514: Type I: Anti-sweat and refrigerant insulation for piping, pipe components, and machinery (surface ships and submarines). Grade A: For unlagged applications. Class 1: -20 to 180 F maximum operating temperature. Form 1: Tubular. Form 2: Sheet. *SA-960-7854 Fire performance see para 3.4 of MIL-PRF-32514 Requirements are: Compliance with EB4013 Compliance with MIL-PRF-32514 Compliance with NAVSEA Standard Item Number 009-11 ArmaFlex products are not acceptable EB4013 can be used according to MIL-STM-769 and letter. SI 009-11 is written to comply with MIL-PRF- 32514.
