THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR OFFERS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND DOES NOT BIND THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD ANY CONTRACT. Custom Corrugated Shipping Boxes Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Commodities & Services Acquisition Service (CSAS), 555 Corporate Circle, Golden, CO 80401, has a requirement to acquire custom boxes for shipping medical devices to Veterans. These boxes are purchased through the VA Denver & Logistics Center (DLC) for product distribution directly to the Veteran patients. The awarded contractor shall provide an uninterrupted source of supply of boxes that meet or exceed the specifications and deliver within the terms of the awarded contract. The Contract Opportunity shall listed under the main NAICS code: 322211 Corrugated and Solid Fiber Box Manufacturing Product Descriptions For CLIN 0001 through CLIN 0039, each box shall be constructed using C flute, single-wall corrugated cardboard, rated at a minimum of 32 ECT (Edge Crush Test) or greater, with a minimum burst strength of 200 pounds per square inch. The maximum weight capacity for box contents shall be 65 pounds. Internal dimensions of the completed box must match the specified dimensions exactly. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site. To take advantage of business opportunities with the Department of Veterans Affairs, you must register your firm with the System for Award Management at SAM.gov AND in the Veteran Small Business Certification database if applicable, (registration is required for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses) under the applicable NAICS codes. Registration is free and potential contractors are encouraged to visit the SAM website as no contract can be awarded to any offeror not registered in SAM. The VA intends to award a single firm fixed-price, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The resulting award will consist of a one-year (1) base with four (4) option years. Any award will be based on the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) to the Government. This requirement will be solicited as a Full and Open procurement that will consider price and past performance in the award decision. Final evaluation factors will be defined in the solicitation.
