- Description This notice is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This RFI is issued by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) for information and planning purposes, pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market Research. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. All participants are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs that result from responding to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be at the interested party�s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. Purpose The purpose of this RFI is for the USCG to gain an understanding of the capacity, location, availability, and extent of industry facilities and capabilities suitable for USCG Surface Asset equipment handling, storage, protection, and third-party access for maintenance-related activities. Please review attached document for details regarding the desired facilities and locations. Representative Equipment Representative equipment for which this RFI applies may include, but is not limited to: Watertight doors, scuttles, and hatches Fuel and Lube Oil purifiers Main propulsion engines Fuel and Lube Oil pumps Reduction and/or combining gears Seawater Cooling pumps Propulsion shaft bearing assemblies Sewage System equipment Stern tube and strut bearings Chill Water pumps Stern tube and shaft seals Fire pumps Controllable Pitch Propeller system pumps Aqueous Film Forming Foam pumps Bow thruster equipment Bilge and ballast pumps Ship Service Diesel Generator sets Reverse Osmosis System equipment Ship Service Switchboards Potable Water Service pumps Transformers Transom and sideport doors Frequency converters Stern door hydraulic system equipment Motor controllers Heat exchangers Bus tie and circuit breakers Hydraulic power modules Anchor windlass with capstan Oily Water Separator System equipment Mooring and warping capstans Carriage and boat retrieval winches Steering System equipment Boat handling cranes Rudder bearings and rudder stock assembly Boat davit Air Conditioning System equipment Dehydrator Refrigeration System equipment Air compressors Steering System equipment Ventilation fans Rudder bearings and rudder stock assembly Fan coil units Trash compactor Incinerator Facility Characteristics and Capabilities of Interest Facility characteristics and capabilities of interest include 1) warehouse operations including equipment receiving, inspection, inventory tracking, movement and placement in storage, and ship-out; 2) dedicated, secure, climate-controlled extended duration storage with electrical infrastructure able to accommodate hotel services for equipment while in storage; and 3) space and infrastructure for third-party access to equipment for preservation maintenance, parts removal, preservation, packaging and packing and disposal preparation activities. Desired facility(ies) location and characteristics are summarized in attached document. Requested Information Interested companies are requested to provide the following information: Company name and website. Company POC and contact information. Summary narrative of capabilities in the areas of warehouse operations; storage and infrastructure; and third-party access, as described in RFI section 2.2. Storage location(s) and facility information in Table 1 format with supporting information. List of the types of information that would be needed from the government. Risks and potential challenges associated with the described activities. Responses Interested parties are requested to respond to this RFI no later than June 30, 2025. All RFI responses shall address the information requested in Section 3 of this RFI. Responses shall be submitted electronically via email to Gregory.J.Foster@uscg.mil.
