Description

Update: Amendment 0006 and its attachments added as an attachment. Amendment 0006 updates the RFI responses and adds provision 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal, addendums to mechanical and electrical drawings, and a PSRDM compliance letter. Update: Amendment 0005 added as an attachment. Amendment 0005 extends the date for responses to 7/8. Update: Amendment 0004 and its attachments added as attachments. Amendment 0004 extends the date for responses to 6/20. It revises the period of performance to 365 calendar days from notice to proceed. Its attachments add an RFI log with responses, a geotech report, a construction boundary sketch, a site map, a specification in response to an RFI, and a floor plan of Building 121. Update: Amendment 0003 and Attachment A added as attachments. Amendment 0003 extends the date for responses to 6/13. Update: Amendment 0002, site visit agenda, site visit sign-in sheet, and building 121 floor plan added as attachments. Update: Amendment 0001 and Attachments 4 and 13 added as attachments. Amendment 1 states the time and location for the site visit. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is soliciting proposals with the intent to award a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build (DBB) Replace/Construct Bldg 121 Construction project at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030. This project includes the demolition of the existing Building 121, and the construction of a new replacement building in the same location. The new building will be a 1-story approximately 14,977 SF building with limited site work as required to gain access to the building, including drive isles, pedestrian sidewalks, and handicap parking spaces. The proposed facility is a PRRC (Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center) which consists of office/treatment rooms, group rooms, Occupational Therapy, and other support spaces. The goal of the project is to successfully relocate and consolidate this practice area into a single building. Work includes specialized construction labor & supervision for architectural, mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and demolition work as required by provided construction documents.
