Description
This is a Notice of Intent published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5(c)(2)(ii) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source, firm-fixed price contract under the authority of 38 USC 8127(c), as implemented by 819.7008 Sole source awards to verified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Atlantic First Industries Corporation for to Repair Fire Doors for the Nebraska-Western Iowa VA Health Care System. The Department of Veterans Affairs requires the fire doors to function correctly to ensure the safety of the veterans in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) - Only One Source has an indefinite delivery vehicle with the Philips patient monitoring equipment listed on it. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238290 and the service code is J042. While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government understands that Atlantic First Industries Corporation is the only vendor that can provide the Philips patient monitoring equipment under an indefinite delivery vehicle. However, vendors that believe they can provide the capabilities required to fully meet the Government's requirement may submit information in writing to John.milroy@va.gov by 12:00 PM Central Time June 17, 2025. Such documentation will be reviewed solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
