- This is a Sources Sought Notice Constitutes Market Research This is a sources sought notice for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide the services described below. Potential offerors are invited to provide feedback via e-mail to jesusy.casiano@va.gov. Responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Interested vendors must submit documentation stating the company is distribute Similar to Mega Code Kelly for the practice of advanced, difficult and obstructed airway scenarios and IV therapy for Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) classes plus Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) skills sessions. Please note response times in the SOW and elaborate if your company can accommodate the timeframes. Any SDVOSB/VOSB shall be listed as verified on the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/ in order to receive contract awards under the Veterans First Contracting Program. Any potential offerors must also be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Potential contractors shall provide, at a minimum, the following: Company name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, and DUNS number. Provide a brief capability and interest to El Paso VAMC listed in the description below with enough information to determine if your company can meet the requirement (Max 2 pages). The capabilities statement for this source sought is not expected to be a Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather the Government is requesting a short statement regarding the company s ability to provide the services/commodities outlined in the draft Statement of Work (SOW). Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities statement. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. This is a sources sought notice only. The information gathered from this request is for information and planning purposes only and will not be released. This does not constitute a solicitation. El Paso Veterans Affairs Health Care System Education Mega Code Kelly Statement Of Work (SOW) The Department of Veterans Affairs, El Paso VA Health Care System (EPVAHCS), has requirement for Similar to Mega Code Kelly for the practice of advanced, difficult and obstructed airway scenarios and IV therapy for Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) classes plus Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) skills sessions. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, management, travel, and equipment necessary to supply, install and provide support services to El Paso VA Medical Center in accordance with the specifications of the Statement of Work as stated below: 1 SPECIFICATIONS/SALIENT CHARATERISTICS: Must meet or exceed the following specs. Similar to Mega Code Kelly: - Buy American Act applies 1.1 Airway/Intubation Trainer: Realistic life-size intubation trainer with a flexible tongue, arytenoid cartilage, epiglottis, vallecula, vocal cords, trachea, esophagus, and simulated lungs. Head has neck opening and replaceable skin for practicing cricothyrotomy techniques. Head has interchangeable pupils to simulate different clinical conditions (normal, constricted, blown). Head can be tilted forward, backward or rotated 90 degrees to either side. The following airway skills can be practiced: Endotracheal intubation, Nasotracheal intubation, Digital intubation, Oropharyngeal airway, insertion, Nasopharyngeal airway insertion, Bag Valve Mask ventilation, Retrograde intubation, Light wand intubation, Laryngeal Mask Airway insertion, Combi tube insertion, Trans-Tracheal Jet ventilation, Surgical cricothyrotomy, Needle cricothyrotomy, Suctioning techniques, Stomach auscultation to verify proper airway positioning. IV/IO Training: Articulating IV arm with replaceable skin and infusible vein system allows peripheral. intravenous therapy and site care - Venipuncture possible in the antecubital fossa and dorsum of the hand. Accessible veins include median, basilic, and cephalic. Bilateral deltoid, bilateral thigh, ventrogluteal and gluteal subcutaneous and intramuscular injection sites. Lifelike designed for practicing intraosseous needle placement, medication and fluid administration and infusion. 1.3 TENSION PNEUMOTHORAX DECOMPRESSION AND CHEST TUBE INSERTION: Bilateral mid-clavicular sites for needle decompression. Right side mid-axillary site for needle decompression. Chest tube insertion left mid-axillary. CARDIAC RELATED SKILLS: Manual chest compressions. 3- or 4- lead ECG with optional patient monitor: 12 lead ECG display image. Pacing with programmable capture Defibrillation (25 360j). 1.5 SOUNDS - SIMPADĀ® SYSTEM: Heart sounds synchronized with ECG. Auscultated lung sounds synchronized with breathing, 0 - 60 BPM. Individual lung sound selection. Normal or abnormal bowel sounds. Vocal sounds: Computer-generated sounds, recorded vocal sounds and real-time voice input via headset. User generated vocal sounds SIMPADĀ® SYSTEM FUNCTION: Handheld, intuitive touchscreen remote for easy pick up and play experience Mobile - teach anywhere. Operate on-the-fly or utilize scenarios and Themes for consistent simulation training. Time stamped activities, vital signs, and instructor comments are captured in the event log. The Sim Pad log files can be viewed on the device or on a PC using Session Viewer for post-simulation reflection and debriefing. Upload self-authored scenarios and themes or download pre-programmed scenarios directly from Sim Store. 1.7 PATIENT MONITOR (OPTIONAL): Touchscreen simulated patient monitor provides concise clinical feedback for physiological parameters. The monitor s color screen is configurable and provides multiple simulated parameters, each presenting multi-level alarms. Simulated parameters include HR, ECG, SpO2, BP, RR, Temperature, and etCO2.
