Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers � New England District is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for PVC Membrane Roof Replacement, New Bedford Hurricane Barrier, New Bedford, MA. QUESTIONS REGARDING THE PROCUREMENT WILL NOT BE ANSWERED DURING THE PRESOLICITATION PHASE. SUBMIT QUESTIONS TO THE CONTRACT SPECIALIST AFTER THE SOLICITATION AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN POSTED. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Contractor shall replace an existing Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) roof system on a concrete building located in New Bedford, MA. Includes all labor, equipment, tools, services, and materials to demolish the existing roof and install a new fully adhered 60-mil thick PVC roofing system. The exterior dimensions of the building are approximately 59 feet by 25 feet. The building has two distinct levels, both the lower and upper roofs shall be replaced. Demolition work includes removal of the entire roof system including the insulation, PVC material, walk pads, wood blocking, flashing, metal facia, down to the underlying concrete roof deck. The new PVC roof shall be designed with tapered rigid insulation installed onto the prepared concrete roof decks. The new PVC roof system shall be watertight and properly pitched to shed water from the roof. Existing lightning protection systems, railings, cameras, lights, conduits, chimneys, antennas and other equipment mounted on the roof shall be protected and moved as required to install the new roof. The new 60-mil PVC roof system shall be designed for high wind coastal conditions and be warranted by the manufacturer for 30 years. Contractor is responsible for removal and proper disposal or recycling of all debris generated. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation requirements and contract documents, to include instructions for submission, and the response date will be available on or about May 27, 2025. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Contract Opportunities website (www.SAM.gov). This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238160 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million. ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.
