Description
LYJO, Rehab Birthplace Restrooms The National Park Service, Contracting Operations - Central, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the rehabilitation of existing visitor restrooms project at Lyndon B Johnson National Historical Park (LYJO) in Gillespie County, TX. Work will consist of but is not limited to: The interior rehabilitation of existing visitor restrooms. General tasks will include the completion of selective demolition, replacement of the deteriorated floor structure and foundation, framing and thermal envelope improvements, a revised interior layout and new finishes, and replacement of the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Optional work tasks include painting the exterior of the building and replacement of the existing disconnect switch at the electric meter. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6025B0006 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000 TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by Summer 2025 with performance to begin in late Summer 2025. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Gillespie County, TX will apply. The NAICS code for this project is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $45M. This is a set-aside 100% for Small Disadvantage Business (SDB) under NAICS 236220. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available Spring 2025 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities. The requirement is subject to availability of funds; the resulting solicitation will not be issued until the project is fully funded. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have an UEI number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
