- THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The submission of pricing, capabilities for planning purposes, and other market information is highly encouraged and allowed under this RFI In Accordance With (IAW) FAR Part 15.201(e). SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a RFI/sources sought only. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 337127 (size standard of 500 Employees). Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 15 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide the following Lead Lined Nuclear Cabinet IAW the below requirement STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) FOR LEAD-LINED NUCLEAR CABINET VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION 11 September 2024 *ALL ITEMS HEREIN THAT MENTION BRAND NAME PRODUCTS MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR A LIKE OR SIMILAR ITEM* 1. INTRODUCTION This sources sought is seeking sources that can provide the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center with a new Lead-Lined Nuclear Cabinet. 2. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, hardware, and attachments to ensure the Lead lined Nuclear Cabinets full functional and operational for use.� 3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS A. Salient Features: Lead Lining Multiple Cabinets Kickplate Adjustable Dividers Key Locked Doors Powder Coat finish Adjustable legs Step Down Notches. Externally mounted locking latches Waste Cabinet B. Technical Requirements: Countertop Length : 84.1 Kickplate 83 Cabinet .25 Lead Cabinet, PREP ENCL Base .5 LEAD/NT Cabinet , Waste & Storage .5 LEAD/NT 4. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS The C&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required. 5. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The contractor shall have system fully installed no later than 90 days after contract award. Coordination between the contracting officer and the site point-of-contact/contracting officer s representative will be required after contract award to establish the start date to complete any required site preparations. 6. WORK HOURS Hours of Work� Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Standard Time, excluding Federal holidays. The Government hereby provides notice and Contractor hereby acknowledges receipt that Government personnel observe the listed days as holidays:� New Year's Day January 1� Martin Luther King's Birthday Third Monday in January� President's Birthday Third Monday in February� Memorial Day Last Monday in May� Juneteenth June 19� Independence Day July 4� Labor Day First Monday in September� Columbus Day Second Monday in October� Veterans Day November 11� Thanksgiving Day Fourth Thursday in November� Christmas December 25s� � In addition to the days designated as holidays, the Government observes the following days:� Any other day designated by Executive Order.� Any other day designated by the President s Proclamation; and� Any other day designated by Federal Statute.� � All services shall be performed during normal hours unless otherwise scheduled with the Point of contact. 7. INSTALLATION AND CLEANUP Contractor on-site visits shall be coordinated with the contract point of contact before being scheduled or conducted. Contractor staff shall always be professional and shall take all necessary precautions to maintain a safe environment for the occupants. This includes, as necessary, coordinating access and closures for sensitive areas of the Medical Center. Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning all work areas after completion of tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, removal of packaging and a clean sweep/mop of the area as required by work type. Contractor shall protect all items from damage. The Contractor shall take precaution against damage to the building(s), grounds, and furnishings. The Contractor shall repair or replace any items related to building(s) or grounds damaged accidentally or on purpose due to actions by the Contractor. Contractor staff shall minimize noise as much as possible while working in all buildings. 8. DELIVERY & LOCATION INFORMATION Delivery of the Lead Lined Nuclear Cabinet will be provided to: Robert J. Dole Medical Facility 5500 East Kellogg Ave. BLDG.19 Room# 104-19 Wichita Kansas, 67218 The information identified above are intended to be descriptive, not restrictive, and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications, or brand name equal. If you are interested, and are capable of providing the sought out supplies/services, please provide the requested information as well as the information indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: Please indicate the size status and representations of your business, such as but not limited to: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Large Business, etc.)? Is your company considered small under the NAICS code identified under this RFI? Are you the manufacturer, distributor, or an equivalent solution to the items being referenced above? If you re a small business and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the items identified above or an equivalent solution, do you alter; assemble; modify; the items requested in any way? If you do, state how and what is altered; assembled; modified? Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA, VA NAC, NASA SEWP, or any other federal contract, that can be utilized to procure the requirement listed above? If so, please provide the contract number. Please submit your capabilities that show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that you can meet the requirement described in the attached SOW. Please provide your UEI number. Responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to Timothy Scarborough at timothy.scarborough@va.gov. Telephone responses shall not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than Friday May 9, 2025 at 23:00 CST. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this sources sought.
