- Sources Sought Notice: SPRDL1-25-R-0179 Item Name: Cooler, Oil NSN: 2930-01-024-6706 Part Number: Government Part Number: 11668989 / MFR Part Number: 10002A:61228 Quantity: 219 Option Quantity: 219 End Item: Recovery Vehicle, M51/M74/M88 ""JT"" Requirements Description: The Engine Oil Cooler is a critical component of the highly specialized engine used on the unique M88A1 towing and recovery system. The design of the Engine Oil Cooler is unique in that it is packaged in such a way to fit neatly on the side of the AVDS-1790 2-series engine while maximizing the cooling efficiency. Development of a similar component would also be required to fit within this unique space claim without interference with existing components while satisfying the cooling requirements needed to ensure the reliability of the M88A1�s engine at high rpms during a full-load operation. The proposed action is to award a new contract with option for Engine Oil Cooler. This item is a sourcecontrolled item (sole source) to Boyd Niagra LLC (CAGE Code: 61228). The Government does not have the pertinent technical data including additional detailed drawings for this item or dimensions for its manufacturing necessary for competitive procurement. Boyd Niagra LLC is the only source that has the requisite technical and engineering expertise to perform all efforts required to provide Engine Block, Diesels that meet design space requirements and Critical Item Product Function Specification for Engine Oil Cooler.
