To better understand industry and its approach to Airfield Management the Navy has four available 45-minute time slots for specific training and airfield-related innovation presentations to be provided by aviation industry contractors. The desired topics for industry participation are: Airfield Marking and Surface Painting Criteria, Techniques, and Quality Assurance Airfield Management Executive Training and Continued Education Certification Course Resources Airfield Infrastructure Assessment and Recapitalization Master Plan Development Airfield Lighting and Illuminated Signage Criteria Entities may indicate interest in presenting on any or all of the topics listed above. Selections will be made on a first come, first served basis and will also depend on venue capacity. EVENT OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this event is to refresh our talented AFM Division employees knowledge base as it pertains to managing an airfield; provide an excellent opportunity for Navy and Marine Corps AFMs to share best practices, problem resolution techniques, and to network/interact with aviation industry subject matter experts, technicians, and innovators. The event will also allow an opportunity to solicit feedback and suggestions from commercial industry regarding the appropriate tools and training which could better address the current challenges facing airfield management. VENUE: The AFM Symposium will be held at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth Lone Star Conference Center, 2570 Desert Storm Rd, Fort Worth, TX. 76127. AGENDA: Agenda will be distributed to selected presenters after the solicitation response period closes and no later than 14 Mar 2025. ELIGIBILTY: Companies of all sizes are encouraged to request participation in the event for the purpose of presenting, including firms and academic institutions that do not traditionally do work with the U.S. Navy. Entities are encouraged to provide a brief background on their company/institution as it relates to aviation and/or airfield maintenance, this may be accomplished through a written narrative, power point slide or promotional material, this submission should be no more than four 8.5 x 11 single sided sheets. In addition, entities should indicate which topic areas (1) through (4) above upon which there is interest in engaging. Entities have the option to submit talking points or other outlines related to the topic areas. If multiple entities request to participate on a given topic the Navy will consider depth and length of experience with aviation and/or airfield maintenance in addition to any materials provided on the specific topic. One entity may be provided the opportunity to speak on more than one topic; however, the Navy values having a diverse perspective from industry and desires multiple entities to be engaged. The Navy is looking for companies that have new and innovative ideas to support the future of airfield maintenance, management, design, and aircraft handling services.
