- Notice of Intent to Sole Source: CO, Rocky Flats NWR Chemical Analysis of tissue samples collected from wildlife. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations, Legacy Region 9. USFWS intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source to: Gel Group, Inc. 2040 Savage Road, Charleston, SC 29407 1)The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541380, Tissue Sample Analysis. The object of this sole source award to Gel Group, Inc. is chemical analysis of tissue samples collected from wildlife. Results from these samples will be used to inform management on future uses of the refuge (e.g., transfer, disposition, and hunting of wildlife). Work will be focused on tissues collected from elk and include analysis for radionuclides and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Tissues collected include muscle, liver, and kidney. All work will be conducted in accordance with the document titled �Preliminary Sampling of Rocky Mountain Elk at the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge.� and be completed BOTH radionuclide and PFAS analysis. Must be certified in the EPA's Draft Method 1633 This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
