Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24221Q1529 - Project Number 632-22-133 Replace the Water Softener in Boiler Plant at Northport VA Medical Center, Northport, NY. 11768. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238220 and has a size standard of $16.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. SCOPE OF WORK: Work Tasks: Task 1: Furnish all labor and materials to remove the existing boiler feed water softener and controls. Transport all equipment, tanks, softener resin, piping from the site, and provide documentation of proper disposal in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Task 2: Furnish all labor and materials to install a new water softener packaged unit, complete with inlet and outlet pipe connections, electrical power supply connections, and all controls. The new water softener shall be installed in the same location as the existing water softener after removal of the existing softener. Pipe the new unit into existing raw water feed pipe and softened water boiler feed pipe. The softener package unit shall be as specified in Attachment 1, Project Specifications. Task 3: Furnish all labor and materials to fully prepare the unit for placing it into service. Observe the first two service and regeneration cycles, and train Boiler Plant Operators on operation and maintenance of the unit. See specifications for details. Task 4: Provide field and analytical laboratory analytical reports documenting the influent and effluent water quality. Task 5: Provide a one-year maintenance contract that includes quarterly inspections and water quality analytical reports. Performance Period: This project shall be completed within 40 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Place of Performance: Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center Northport NY 79 Middleville Rd. Northport, NY 11768 A complete description of the statement of work including specifications will be released with a solicitation. All other details and information, including specification shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on https://beta.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about 10/04/2021. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires payment bond. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov and be registered and verified as a SDVOSB in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
