- NOTICE OF INTENT The Richmond VAMC is requesting a software support contract for the Netsmart myAvatar multi server cache. Due to the proprietary nature of this acquisition, the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source commercial item procurement with Netsmart. The period of performance for this procurement shall be for 12 months with 4 one-year option periods. This proposed contract action is for software support services which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their ability and authorization to service Netsmart proprietary equipment by sending capability statements in reference to this requirement no later than 12:00 p.m. noon, Eastern Standard Time, September 21, 2021 to: Ronnie.Gregory@va.gov A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
