- AFLCMC Industry Day Notice Weather Systems Branch (AFLCMC/HBAW) General Information Classification Code: 99 (misc.) NAICS Code: 334 (computer and electronic product mfg); 518 (data processing, hosting, related services); 541 (professional, scientific, technical services); 927 (space research and technology) Description The USAF Weather Systems Program Office (Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Weather Systems Branch) will be hosting a Virtual Industry Day. It will be held on 16 February 2021 from 3:00PM to 4:30PM Eastern Time on ZoomGov. The purpose of this Industry Day is to present a systems roadmap for USAF weather capabilities and program acquisition opportunities to interested industry, academia, and government research organizations, as part of general market research and awareness outreach. Addressed will be projected contracted procurement, research and development, and sustainment opportunities of environmental capabilities supporting USAF and US Army operations with meteorological on-site and remote sensing, modeling and high-performance computing, large-scale processing and dissemination, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and forecaster applications. This is not a request for proposal. The event supports market research efforts by providing industry a forum to understand USAF weather warfighter current and future needs, and to identify potential gateway enhancements that may be of interest to the warfighter. This Industry Day event does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. It is solely for market research purposes.
