Description
Hematology/Oncology Physician Services for the VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a Sources Sought Notice. This advertisement is not a solicitation for offers, nor is it a request for quotes. A request for quotes may be issued at a later date. The VA Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS) in Fort Wayne, Indiana, 2121 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana, is conducting a market survey for qualified firms of providing 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) non-personal, board-certified/board-eligible professional medical oncology/hematology physician services four days a week, including on-call coverage one day a week, during business hours, for eligible veterans at the VANIHCS. Applicable NAICS Code 621111 applies with a business size standard of $11.0 million and the contractor must be registered and verified in the Systems for Award Management System (SAM). Responses to this sources sought notice shall be submitted in writing and received no later than 3pm EST, Tuesday, January 19, 2021. No telephone inquiries shall be accepted or returned. Contractor s physicians care shall cover the range of hematology/oncology services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the American Society of Hematology. Contractor shall provide board-certified and/or board-eligible medical oncology/hematology physician services on-site and shall evaluate and treat patients during a general oncology/hematology outpatient clinic at the VA. Clinic hours are 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Clinical days and work hours are four days a week during clinic hours. Clinic shall be scheduled for eight hours per day, three days per week and seven hours per day for one day a week for a total of four days per week, 52 weeks per year. This does not include holidays. On-call coverage shall be provided one day a week during weekday clinic hours from 8am to 4:30pm, not including holidays. Non-clinical duties shall include 80 hours annually for administrative assignments, peer reviews, OPPE/FPPE, tumor board, and mandatory trainings, such as ACLS, BLS, TMS. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS Code 621111 (business size standard of $11.0 per annum). Period of Performance: 12 months from date of Award plus one, 12-month option period.
