- N66001-20-Q-6632 � Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award to ViaSat, Inc. This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with ViaSat, Inc. (CAGE: 47358) of 6155 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009. The requirement is for the acquisition of: 1) Two each Open Chassis Kits that will allow for existing ViaSat Multi-Function Information Distribution System (MIDS) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) (MIDS JTRS) terminals to be used in an open configuration, and 2) Two each Core to BU3 Upgrade Kits which will upgrade the existing ViaSat terminals to a modern configuration. The Government intends to negotiate solely with ViaSat, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Only Capable Source. FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, applies. The applicable NAICS Code is 334220 and the business size standard is 1,250 employees. Please be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Comments, questions or concerns regarding this notice or required for solicitation may be submitted via e-mail ONLY to Christine Beltramo by 17 July 2020 at 12:00 PM PST. All responses received before said date will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. To respond to this announcement, you must be registered to the NIWC E-Commerce website at https://e- commerce.sscno.nmci.navy.mil and upload your inquiry under NIWC Pacific/Simplified Acquisitions/N66001-20-Q-6632. All responding vendors must be registered to the System for Award Management (SAM). Information can be found at https://www.sam.gov.
