- Description
- The T4000 and T4100 Engine Trailers Winch Modification Kit will be�primarily used during installation and removal of aircraft engines for B1-B aircraft. The engine trailers are used (in conjunction with the appropriate engine adapters) during the installation and removal of the aircraft engines from various aircraft. The winch assembly will be used to facilitate moving a load onto the trailer when the rails are in an inclined position. The winch assembly will include the following components: winch (with manual, mechanical drive mechanism, ratio box assembly), attachment bar, track, and overload protection device. The winch assembly will be capable of being removed from the trailer and stored when not required for daily operations. The winch assembly will be constructed of materials suitable for safe inter-operation with the engine trailers including world-wide deployable environmental and corrosion conditions encountered during indoor/outdoor operation and storage. The specification consolidates the requirements of both engine trailers winch into one universal winch with two different types of brackets. The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source, MCT Industries, Inc.�(CAGE Code:� 2W888) under authority of FAR 6.302-1 because no other source has the proprietary data to provide the T4000 and T4100 Engine Trailers Winch Modification Kit.� The Government does not own the technical data package (TDP), nor is the product under the configuration control of the US Government.� However, Interested Parties or Persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a quote(s). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
