07/10/2020 The full solicitation Request for Proposal shall be posted to Contract Opportunities week of July 13-17, 2020. SITE VISIT information is provided. As follows: DATE: Wednesday, July 22, 2020. TIME: 9:00A / 0900. LOCATION:� Boulder Oaks Campground Old Hwy 80, Campo, CA, 91906 POC: Whitney Hosseini, 619-823-0117, whitney.hosseini@usda.gov ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6/23/2020 This is a pre-solicitation synopsis for informational purposes only to make industry aware of an upcoming project requirement to be solicited. This is NOT a solicitation / Request for Proposal; therefore responses are not required at this time. The Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region 5 is currently preparing a Request for Proposal [RFP] solicitation for the project detailed below. No solicitation yet exists; therefore, do NOT request a copy of the solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project is Campground Renovations for the Boulder Oak Campground located within the Descanso Ranger District of the Cleveland National Forest. Scope of this project includes demolition of two (2) masonry vault toilet buildings, designated camp units and site features, and other miscellaneous demolition; and the ordering, delivery coordination, site preparation, and installation of new precast vault buildings (CXT brand or approved equal substitute). Other work to be solicited includes installation of accessible parking and walkways, concrete dumpster pad, steel horse gates. Construction elements include, but are not limited to: site work, surveying, demolition, clearing and grubbing, excavation and placement, best management practices , aggregate base, portland cement concrete, concrete reinforcement, sampling and testing, and rock barriers. The full scope including associated specifications and drawings shall be provided with the issued solicitation RFP. Work will take place within the Descanso Range District located within the Cleveland National Forest . Campo, California (San Diego County.) The contract duration is anticipated to be 48 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed [NTP]. Work is anticipated to begin in October 2020. Site Visit information and dates will be provided with the issued solicitation. ACQUISITION INFORMATION This acquisition shall be 100% set-aside for SMALL BUSINESS firm/concerns. This is a construction project.� Construction Wage Rates (former known as Davis-Bacon wage rates) shall apply to any resulting contract. The awarded contract shall be firm-fixed-price. The Government estimate and magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System [NAICS] code for this acquisition is 237990 � Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with small business size of $39.5M in annual revenue. Solicitation posting date is tentatively planned for on or about JULY 13, 2020. All proposal submission�instructions and evaluation information�shall be provided with the solicitation RFP. Interested parties are hereby notified that the solicitation will be available exclusively on the Contract Opportunities website. https://beta.sam.gov. The solicitation, attachments, and amendments (if any) will be published for viewing, printing, and downloading from the Contract Opportunities website only. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor Contract Opportunities for the release of amendments, changes, or other information pertaining to the solicitation. No hardcopy/paper versions of the solicitation or amendments will be distributed. Contractors must be registered in the SAM database in order to receive a contract award from any USDA Forest Service activity. Prospective offerors must be registered in SAM prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM will render an offeror ineligible for award. SAM information at www.sam.gov. Offerors may complete Representations and Certifications online via SAM at www.sam.gov. Ensure DUNS and CAGE Code numbers are provided with the proposal. DUNS at www.dnb.com. Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the SAM database to be eligible for a Government contract award. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective offeror.
