Offers are due at 10:00 Friday, July 17, 2020. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. RFIs Solicitation: 36C26220Q0956 Ice Machine Service 1. Are filters included in this bid? We noticed the ice machine had carbon/cartridge filters but no filters for biological control. VA RESPONSE. VA will provide the filters. Pre filter needs to be replaced every six months. Final /carbon filter needs to be replaced every 12 months or as needed. Biological/ legionella filter gets replaced every thirty days by VA personnel. 2. Do we have the full three months to complete ALL the cleanings? VA RESPONSE. Each machine must be cleaned and serviced at least every 90 days. 3. Can they confirm there is 42 ice machines online and needed for cleanings? There was discussion of only 39 being online so clarification would be great. VA RESPONSE. There are 39 machines in active use with three available for backup. Only the ones in active use need to be regularly serviced. 4. What are the Chemical approved chemicals that the bid is referring to? VA RESPONSE. Approved chemicals are those approved/recommended by the manufacturer. If those are not available, a suitable replacement with the SDS sheet, safe to use on ice machines and approved by the COR would be appropriate.
