- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source procurement with Bruker Nano, Inc., 5465 East Cheryl Parkway., Madison, WI 53711 to provide: CLIN 0001:� ��������� Q655-60-129 XFlash� 6 | 60 light element detector, Qty: 1 each CLIN 0002:����������� �B-2021 QUANTAX SCU Combined Signal, Qty: 1 each CLIN 0003:����������� �Q136-T ESPRIT 2 EDS software upgrade Set 2, Qty: 1 each CLIN 0004:����������� �Q207 ESPIRIT QMap, quantitative element mapping, Qty: 1 each CLIN 0005:����������� �Q811-T EDS workstation controller, Qty: 1 each CLIN 0006: Q821-T 24"" TFT LCD wide screen monitor, Qty: 1 each STATEMENT OF WORK BRUKER ENERGY DISPERSIVE X-RAY SPECTROSCOPY UPGRADE SCOPE The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) Chemistry Lab has a requirement for a 6th Generation Detector and upgrade of existing Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) Software to ESRIT 2.2. This system is an upgrade of the aged detector of the Bruker EDS currently in use.� The Government requires the upgraded version of the detector and operating system hardware and software, installation and training.� REQUIREMENTS INSTALLATION The Contractor shall perform equipment installation at NSWC IHEODTD Building 1864.� The installation shall be performed no later than (NLT) 90 days after receipt of the detector, operating system hardware, and software. TRAINING The Contractor shall provide on-site introductory user training for one Government employee during the equipment installation visit.� The training will focus on the upgraded version of the operating system software. 3.0�������� CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL Contractor personnel providing the installation and training are required to be U.S. Citizens.� 4.0�������� GOVERNMENT TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE The assigned technical representative for this contract is as follows: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD): Inchan (Brandon) Choi, ph (301) 744-4680 e-mail inchan.choi@navy.mil The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument �Manufacurers.� �Interested vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.� The circumstances permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition is Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ""Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements.""� The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any sources exist, and therefore, no Request for Quote (RFQ) is available.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the Government will consider all information received by 07/25/2020.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon the responses received from this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
