Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source one Medtronic O-ARM Multidimensional Surgical Imaging System. This is a notice of intent to issue an award on the basis of other than full and open competition under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901. The Defense Health Agency (DHA), on behalf of the Main Operating Room Department at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) intends to issue a sole source award to Medtronic Inc. located at 826 Coal Creek Circle Louisville, CO 800271. The requirement is to buy one O-ARM Multidimensional Surgical Imaging System for 2D and 3D fluoroscopic imaging for adult and pediatric patients. Purchase of the System includes 5 days training and one year limited warranty. Medtronic Inc is the Manufacturer and Distributor of this specialized Surgical Imaging Equipment. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS and no solicitation exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost and capabilities, sufficient to determine a contractor's ability in providing the same Equipment. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
