Description
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist by determining if this effort can be successfully competed and/or set-aside for Small Businesses. �The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing 1,000 employees. �The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. �The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. �The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central, JBSA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide a NexION Cell Solution Kit (Mass Spectrometer/Gas Chromatograph) ICPMS. �The Government�s requirement is to purchase this clinical laboratory instrument, ICPMS, for the Department of Pathology and Area Laboratory Services (DPALS), Brooke Army Medical Center, JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Salient characteristics which will be used to test heavy metals on blood/bodily fluids/other in support of the health and diagnostic needs are listed below: Highest usability: Able to evaluate any matrix-no dilution required, any gas, resolve any interference, and accept any particle size. Highest and lowest possible ppq detection limits. Fast data acquisition rate (ideally 1000,000 data points/sec). Has three modes of operation to minimize run time: standard, collision, and reaction. Efficiency in analysis, ideally using the same sample in the same run for any signal transmission. Being able to adjust within run by screening out precurson ions. Can switch between cool and hot plasma in one run. No water or gas cooling required. Low maintenance complexity desired. Flexible and agile quality control programs. Data/results on screen. Small footprint This is not a solicitation.
