- Solicitation Number: W50S85-20-B-0003 Restrictions: 100% Set Aside for Small Business Project Title and Number: VGLZ202021 B/892 - B/893 Munitions Roof Repair Location: Selfridge ANGB, Macomb County MI, 48045 Issue Date: Tentatively 20 July 2020 Pre Proposal Conference and Site Visit: Tentatively 5 August�2020 10 am Local Time Closing Date: Tentatively 22 August 2020 2pm Local Time Award Date: Tentatively 30 August�2020 Local Time PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall remove the existing built-up roof system down to the structural deck, including the removal of the gravel stop.� The Contractor shall also install a new roof to include a fully adhered 90-mil EPDM membrane roof over fully adhered tapered insulation (1/8� per foot minimum) to provide positive drainage to the gutters. EPDM is to extend a minimum of 8� up the vertical face of the concrete dividing wall, which traverses the spine of the structure. Provide drip edge and counter flashing as required. It is expected that the existing copper counter-flashing, gutters, and downspouts can be reused.� The Lightening Protection System on the rooftop of each building shall be removed as needed to facilitate roofing activities, re installed, and re certified. The projects magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000 and is funded. This requirement will be 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns. Will apply with the Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 Million. This project will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract. The successful contractor will be chosen via Invitation for Bid procedures that result in the best value to the Government. All information required for submission of an offer will be identified in the solicitation. Solicitation, W50S85-20-B-0003 information will be advertised electronically on or about 20July��2020 at https://beta.sam.gov� with an anticipated award date of 30 August��2020. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Award will be made to the responsible bidder whose bid conforms to the invitation for bids and is most advantageous to the Government considering only price and price related factors. This synopsis of proposed contract action is for planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to pay for any information, issue a solicitation, or award a contract. The synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Any costs incurred as a result of a response to this announcement shall be borne by the firm and will not be charged to the Government for reimbursement. Paper copies will not be available.
