- Description
- The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center � Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL) The USACE Paint Technology Technical Center of Expertise (PTCx) in Champaign, IL requires a Q-Fog brand Cyclic Corrosion Testing (CCT) Chamber for executing salt fog and Prohesion testing along with the ability to customize other exposure parameters including 100% humidity. The USACE PTCx requires a unit with ALL of the following features and capabilities: a. Foot print shall not exceed 110 X 40 X 50 inches b. Must be able to perform salt fog and Prohesion testing with the ability to reach 95-100% humidity in the testing chamber c. Must be able to accommodate at least 140 test panels (3 x 6 inch) d.� Must have internal solution reservoirs with minimum volume to execute exposure for 7 days minimum e. Must be compatible with test sample holders and rods from the CRH600 Salt Fog chamber without modifications f. Must conform to ASTM B117, ASTM D1735, ASTM D2247, ASTM D2803, ASTM D5894, and ASTM G85. g. Must have internal chamber heaters ERDC-CERL intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to� Q-LAB Corporation in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1)). Market research has found that the Q-Fog 600 CCT, manufactured�by Q-LAB Corporation, is the only CCT Chamber that meets all of these requirements AND Q-LAB�is the original manufacturer and has no authorized�resellers. This is not a small business set aside This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed.� All submissions will be considered, however there is no guarantee that submissions in response to this notice will be in any way alter the Government�s acquisition strategy. Please provide responses to this notice no later than the Response time listed above in this notice, to: Andrea.D.Knowles@usace.army.mil Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses to this notice will not be considered as a response to any solicitation, a request to be added to a prospective offers list, or to receive a copy of any solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
