Description
Amendment No. One (1) The purpose of this Amendment No.1 to RFI No. 72066020RFI00005 is to extend the closing date from February 20th, 2020 to February 24th, 2020 and answer questions submitted by interested parties. Question: How will USAID use the information collected through this RFI? USAID Answer: All information collected through this Request for information will be used internally for planning and activity design purposes. Some of the information collected may become part of solicitation or a notice of funding opportunity.� Respondents should clearly flag information that they consider proprietary.� Cited non-traditional partners will not be mentioned in a forthcoming funding opportunity. Question: �What is the number of pages? USAID Answer:� Responses to the RFI alone are limited to 5 pages. Expressions of Interest (EOI) should not exceed 6 pages (inclusive of attachments). This makes a total of 11 pages.�� Question: What is the anticipated mechanism? USAID Answer: The mechanism has not been determined yet. The RFI has been posted on www.grants.gov.� End of Answers to Questions.� -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The purpose of the P-DEC Program is �to address the development emergency in eastern Congo through a multi-year, multi-sectoral initiative that will build community trust, strengthen the resilience of individuals and communities, fortify existing governance structures, and create opportunities for long-term development and self-reliance of local communities. These activities may also reach across a range of partner types - from public-private partnerships to capacity-building of local organizations.
