- Description
- The Military Sealift Command (MSC) has a requirement for the upcoming Regular Overhaul/Dry-Docking (ROH/DD) on the USNS KANAWHA (T-AO 196) commencing on or about 25 March 2020 for seventy-five (75) calendar days. The USNS KANAWHA has a length of 677 Ft and 6 in, a Beam of 97 Ft, Draft of 36 Ft and Displacement of 40,700 long Tons and 42,382 short tons at full load. Area of consideration is East/Gulf Coast. Estimated date of Solicitation is on or about�05 November 2019. Major work items associated with this availability include: JP-5 TANK 10C PRESERVATION, EXPANSION JOINT REPLACEMENT, 01 LEVEL TIE DOWN RENEWAL, HOUSE PRESERVATION, TANK DECK OVERHEAD PRESERVATION, REMOVAL DEGAUSSING SYSTEM T-AO 187 CLASS M COIL, ABS MANDATED STEEL RENEWAL, STEEL REAPLACEMENT, PV VALVES, UNREP STRUCTURAL STEEL REPLACEMENT, MAIN ENGINE 12K OVERHAUL RIGGING AND SHIPPING SUPPORT, GENERATOR CLEANING & INSPECTION, SSDG 60K OVERHAUL, RELIEF VALVE & PRESSURE VESSEL TESTING, INCINERATOR MAINTENANCE & REPAIR, MISC. PIPING REPLACEMENT, HOSE REPLACEMENT , FIRE SMOKE & DAMPER SERVICE, STERN TAIL SHAFT & PROPELLER REPAIRS, PROPELLER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE & OD BOX GROOM, DOCKING & UNDOCKING, PROPELLER CLEAN AND POLISH ON DOCK, UNDERWATER HULL CLEANING & PAINTING SPOT BLAST, FREEBOARD PRESERVATION, WINCH BOOTH DECK RENEWAL, AND ASD REFURBISHMENT. This requirement will be solicited as full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a Bid, Proposal, or Quotation in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by the agency. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 05 November 2019 with an estimated closing date of 11 December 2019. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted and can be found on the Government Wide Point of Entry located at https://www.fbo.gov under solicitation number N3220520R4017.
