- Amendment A001 THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON A FULL AND OPEN BASIS. THIS IS REQUEST FOR BID – PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE. PROJECT NUMBER: CO FTNP ROMO 11(4) PROJECT NAME: Beaver Meadows Road PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project provides 3R rehabilitation treatment for routes to include 4.85 miles of Beaver Meadows roadway within Rocky Mountain National Park. The project will also be lengthening and adding a FAST lane at Beaver Meadows Entrance Station which is approximately 1,400 feet. The project consists of pulverizing the existing asphalt for additional base, concrete curb, drainage improvements, and repaving with approximately 4” of asphalt. The project will grade side slopes due to additional pavement thickness along shoulders. Pullouts directly adjacent to the roadway will also be treated and repaved as part of the project. SIGNIFICANT QUANTITIES: Significant Items for Schedule A include: 250 LNFT of Standard Underdrain, 1.8 MILES of Full Depth Reclamation 8-Inch Depth of Existing Pavement, 10,750 TONS of Hot Asphalt Concrete Paving, 2,550 LNFT of 14-Inch Colored Concrete Curb and Gutter, 1,200 CUYD of Roadway Excavation, and 100 CUYD of Subexcavation. Significant Items for Option W include: 0.5 MILES of Full Depth Reclamation 8-Inch Depth of Existing Pavement, 4,350 TONS of Hot Asphalt Concrete Paving, 3,050 LNFT of 12-Inch Colored Concrete Curb and Gutter, 1,500 LNFT of 14-Inch Colored Concrete Curb and Gutter, 1,500 CUYD of Roadway Excavation, and 400 CUYD of Subexcavation. Significant Items for Option X include: 0.9 MILES of Full Depth Reclamation 8-Inch Depth of Existing Pavement, 5,200 TONS of Hot Asphalt Concrete Paving, 270 LNFT of 14-Inch Mountable Colored Concrete Curb and Gutter, 1,200 LNFT of 14-Inch Colored Concrete Curb and Gutter, 100 CUYD of Roadway Excavation, and 100 CUYD of Subexcavation. Significant Items for Option Y include: 120 LNFT of Curb and Gutter Removal and Installation, 650 SQYD of Asphalt Patch, and 160 LNFT of Standard Underdrain. COST RANGE: Estimated total cost for Schedule A, Option W, Option X, and Option Y is $5,000,000 to $7,000,000. CONSTRUCTION DURATION : May, 2020 through October, 2020.
