Description
Page 2 of 2 Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, Cincinnati VA Medical Center, NCO 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 339112. The vendor will be BioSense Webster. Description of requirements: The Cincinnati VA Medical Center currently owns and utilizes the Biosense Webster CARTO 3 Mapping System and is in the process of procuring the SmartAblate Kit and the Carto UniVu, Confidense and Carto Replay software modules. As a result, the Government has a requirement to procure a base with two (2), one-year option periods, maintenance agreement. The location of equipment and service is at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, Cincinnati OH. A firm fixed price contract with a base and two, 12 month option periods shall be awarded. It is the Government s belief that the service agreement is only available through the manufacturer, Biosense Webster. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 2:00 pm on November 12, 2019 to starla.vanwinkle@va.gov.
