Description
OVERVIEW: The Next Generation Combat Vehicles Cross Functional Team (NGCV CFT) is hosting a Logistics Roundtable in Warren, MI on 5 December 2019. Government participants will include representatives from the NGCV CFT and Program Executive Office Ground Combat System (PEO GCS). Specific details on meeting location and time will be provided directly to those vendors who are selected to attend; however it will be held in the Metro Detroit area. PURPOSE OF MEETING: The NGCV CFT Logistics Roundtable will provide an opportunity for both small business and other-than-small businesses to engage in process forming/altering discussions with the Government on barriers to conducting business as it relates to logistics, logistics processes, logistics contracting, and logistics deliverables. The Roundtable should delve into the state of the logistics community, and uncover whether change is needed to overcome challenges that are problematic to the Government, Contractors, and products for our Soldiers. This opportunity may also be used for firms to present a possible solution to a related logistics problem area. The NGCV CFT is looking for suggestions and feedback from industry regarding the broad challenges they normally face both pre- and post-award, such as historically long logistics acquisition timelines, and quality and timeliness of logistics products. Additionally, the NGCV CFT would like your perspective on how to make the logistics acquisition process more efficient and logistics products more effective; how to better plan and execute sustainment/logistics management; and how to execute logistics contract processes during materiel acquisition. The NGCV CFT desires participation from all business socio-economic categories, across a variety of industries. Space is limited to 25 industry representatives; therefore, only one participant per business may be permitted. EXPECTATIONS OF ATTENDEES: The NGCV CFT is actively soliciting your comments/feedback. Please be willing and prepared to engage and discuss. Additionally, when discussing barriers or more efficient ways to do business, please be able to provide examples of issues and your recommended solution(s). REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS: If interested in participating, please send the following information to usarmy.detroit.ccdc-gvsc.mbx.ngcv-cft@mail.mil. Please provide all information requested, and only provide the information requested. NOTE: Failure to provide all information may result in your request not being considered for an invitation: 1. Company name and physical address: 2. 1-2 major challenges related to the Logistics Roundtable purpose your Company faces, or that your Company would like to see as a topic of discussion at the event. 3. Company CAGE code: 4. Size Status, to include your socioeconomic status(es), if any (SB, SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, VOSB, SDVOSB). 5. 2-3 sentence description (100 words or less) of the products/services provided: 6. Name of person(s) attending (please include title (e.g., Mr. or Ms.)): 7. Position title (CEO, Business Development, Account Manager, etc.): 8. Attendee's phone number: 9. Attendee's Contact email: 10. Logistics Contracts with Army or other Services (Contract and Order Numbers only): 11. [Optional] If interested in presenting a solution to the Government to a logistics-related problem set, please submit a one-page info paper outlining the problem area and solution you plan on presenting. The Government will evaluate the paper and may schedule a separate one-on-one session, if requested. Otherwise we may ask you to present your solution at the roundtable. ATTENDEE SELECTION CRITERIA: The criteria considered when selecting attendees (in no particular order): - Experience with logistics related contracts - Socioeconomic status (we would like representation from each socioeconomic category (SB, SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, VOSB, and SDVOSB) - Products and/or services provided (we lean more towards firms that provide what we buy, but want a variety of industries represented) - What other services your firm has conducted logistics product contracts for (we would like a mix of Army and other service type logistics experience) Responses are due by 7 November 2019. Invitations for those selected to attend will be sent out no later than close of business on 5 November 2019. If not selected for this event, or if your response is received after the due date, your contact information will be added to the list of companies interested in attending future events.
