- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION) The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking potential sources for data logger salinity probes. The probes must have the following characteristics: 1. Corrosion proof with respect to the housing, electrodes and pressure sensor protection (i.e., ceramic ZrO2). 2. Memory exceeding 48,000 measurements at sample intervals of 1 second to 99 hours 3. O-ring protection of Viton (The entire probe must to be waterproof) 4. Conductivity range of 30 to 120 mS/cm (adjustable) 5. Conductivity accuracy and resolution of +/- 1% of reading mS/cm and 0.1% of reading mS/cm 6. Battery life of 10 years or more with 3 minute or greater sample interval within the calibrated temperature range. Business concerns who believe they can responsibly provide this equipment must submit the following information: 1. Product literature describing specifications and features that allow for comparison with the stated characteristics. 2. Vendor socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service-disabled veteran, woman/women owned, HUBZone, etc.) 3. Any other information that will prove the vendor is capable of meeting the requirements. The Government's evaluation of the capabilities of respondents will factor into whether a solicitation will be forthcoming. The NAICS code is 334513. The size standard is 750 employees. This is not a request for quotes. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses received under this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents is voluntary. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in responses to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments.
