Description
Statement of Work Statement of Work Title: Fast Mobility Particle Sizer Spectrometer 3091 Document Date: 28 February 2019. 1. Scope: USAFSAM/FHOF is requesting a new (not refurbished) Fast Mobility Particle Sizer spectrometer (FMPS) to meet the goals of Total Exposure Health (TEH). The FMPS will provide a wealth of additional information in simulated environments where emissions are produced from rapidly changing sources. The FMPS will be used to characterize aerosols in a wide variety of occupational exposure environments. 1.1 Background: Measurement and characterization of aerosols is an essential component in determining occupational exposure for service people. Traditional aerosol sampling equipment such as the Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer provide particle size distribution in time resolutions greater than 30 seconds. 2. Applicable Documents No applicable documents listed. 3 Requirements/Salient Characteristics: This is a one-time purchase where the vendor shall provide a Fast Mobility Particle Sizer Spectrometer that meets the below requirements: •· The system must measure particles in the size range from 10 to 500 nanometers. •· The system must measure size distribution ( minimum 30 channels ) and concentration of the aerosol. •· The system must be able to measure a variety of particle types, including volatile particles. •· The system must have a one-second measurement resolution or better. •· The system must be able to run continuously for at least 6 hours. •· The system must have the software required to run the instrument and process the resulting data.
