Description
The purpose of this Modification/Amendment is to answer the following questions: 1. In regard to the CLINS that are for repair parts, do we get that price from the parts list that we are to populate? ANSWER: Yes, the prices for parts [filled in by the contractor] is from the list populated within the proposal. The total price will be used to evaluate the Parts CLINs. 2. In regard to the price list, the following items state to repair or replace: N2 regulators Water jackets Water gate/butterfly valve Environmental pond liner Mock-up Electrical disconnects Safety Control Tower There is a substantial difference in pricing of whether or not you repair or replace the above items, particularly in regard to the Safety Control Tower and the Mock-up. This can affect our bid dramatically. How do we respond? ANSWER: The intent here is to have the service provider repair the item if possible, but replace if repairs cannot be made. Clearly, most of the items listed can be repaired in the vast majority of cases. Proposals should be priced accordingly. 3. The N2 bottles are owned by the gas company and are no longer used as an air compressor is utilized in place of them. ANSWER: Little Rock AFB owns our own N2 (Nitrogen) cylinders, and still keeps the N2 system in serviceable condition, for use in the event of a failure in the air compressor system. It is expected that the N2 system be maintained within this proposed service contract.
