Description
The Naval Medical Research Unit 6 (NAMRU-6) is seeking sources to ship research equipment to Joint Task Force Bravo (JTF-B), located in Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. Research equipment will allow performance of entomology research activities to better identify the insect-borne and circulating blood-borne pathogens in Honduras and increase our understanding of the risk these pathogens pose to troops deployed to JTF-Bravo and across the SOUTHCOM AOR; and will help determine the diversity, prevalence and distribution of tick- and mosquito-borne pathogens impacting JTF-Bravo and in selected regions of Honduras to provide detailed current and future vector hazard and disease risk assessments to command leadership at JTF-Bravo, SOUTHCOM Surgeon, US Army Public Health Command, the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center and the Ministry of Health, Honduras. Our research equipment will allow performance of entomology research activities to will better identify the insect-borne and circulating blood-borne pathogens in Honduras and increase our understanding of the risk these pathogens pose to troops deployed to JTF-Bravo and across the SOUTHCOM AOR. The tracking system is very accurate and ensures the safe arrival of equipment in a system that is called "door to door" that ensures no delay in the delivery. The system shipment will save in time as no customs is required by the customers as World Courier will cover all the process.
