- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2019-03 Updated 7/12/2019. The full text of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) can be accessed on the Internet at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. The 2017 NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 325414. To be considered a small business under this NAICS, offerors must not exceed the 1250 employees size standard. This requirement is for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, National Animal Disease Center (NADC) located in Ames Iowa. The solicitation number for this effort is S050-00817 and this combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). REQUIREMENTS --See attached Statement of Requirement for details and requirements. For convenience, a schedule with the requirements has been provided and posted. Should a contradiction exist, the Statement of Requirement takes precedence. The USDA, ARS, Agricultural Research Service Crop Genomics Laboratory Facility has a requirement for a contractor to provide three individual Large Insert Bacterial Artificial Chromosome (BAC) Libraries as detailed in the Statement of Requirement below (see attached).
