- STATEMENT OF WORK Louis A. Johnson VAMC, Clarksburg, WV 26301 General Intention: It is the general intention of the Louis A. Johnson VAMC to obtain contractor services to provide support for the Water Management Team (WMT) for the facility s potable and SPS water systems. The contractor shall facilitate on site meetings with the WMT. They will recommend and assist with the operation of the WMT to achieve the desired performance in compliance with ANSI/ASHRAE 188 and the VHA Directive 1061. They will provide guidance for Legionella prevention since LAJVAMC have had reoccurring positives within their Building 1. Place of Performance: Louis A. Johnson VAMC (VAMC), 1 Medical Center Drive, Clarksburg WV 26301 Performance Requirements: The WMP operation services shall contain the following elements: Facilitate on-site meetings for the WMT. Maintain, assist, and advise in the operation of the WMP and generate required documentation. Recommend and implement changes to the WMP as directed by WMT to achieve the desired performance in compliance with ANSI/ASHRAE 188 and VHA Directive 1061. Provide, operate, and continue to customize the WMP using existing phiAnalytics compatible systems. Incorporate sterile processing operations in WMP. Provide guidance for Legionella prevention. Provide remote support on water management questions as needed. Provide training to the Water Management Team on the WMP process and best practices for building water systems. Verify that the WMP is being implemented as designed on an annual basis through monitoring and documentation of system performance and WMP records and record in phiAnalytics. Validate that the WMP adequately controls the hazardous conditions in the building water system through the review of on-site water testing. Contractor shall provide monthly reports of completed work, to include: Baseline of facility compliance with VHA Directive 1061. Outline of required policies, procedures, SOP s for the facility to be in full compliance with VHA Directive 1061. Performance metric of ongoing compliance with VHA Directive 1061, due to contractor s support. Draft copies for VAMC concurrence and approval of all required policies, procedures, SOP s for the facility to be in full compliance with VHA Directive 1061. Performance objectives: The facility WMP shall meet all requirements of VHA Directive 1061 within a period of twelve calendar months. The contractor s service shall provide a reduction in legionella pneumophila positive samples, across the VAMC campus. Contractors service will develop ongoing practices for remediation, and prevention of legionella pneumophila colon growth. Contractors services will develop process, to treat unsatisfactory high purity water conditions in the facility Sterile Processing Department. Contractor hours of work: Contractor shall perform all work activities during normal facility business hours from 8am -430pm Monday Friday. Any work required to be performed outside of normal business hours, will require a minimum of 10 business day advance notice prior to commencing work activities.
